Ron was diagnosed with sleep apnea 6-8 months ago. Prior to seeking treatment, he experienced daytime sleepiness, loud snoring that disrupted his wife's sleep, and frequent nighttime awakenings. While on a trip to Germany, I unfortunately went through a horrendous time experiencing all the sleep apnea symptoms including chest heaviness, continually throughout the night waking up and totally exhausted in the morning. Yes, I took my CPAP machine with me, but I realized I brought the wrong type of adapter to plug in this CPAP machine.

Years ago, I learned there was a solution called oral appliance, and yet I still didn’t move on, even after that trip knowing and experiencing that horrific sleep apnea feeling. Finally, after several more years, I wanted FREEDOM from CPAP machine. I called my sleep apnea medical doctor and asked for a referral. FREEDOM, now I have my fitted oral appliance. Yes, I’m able to do what I love, which includes traveling. Also, feeling comfortable waking up, not exhausted without any of the underlying concerns about treating my sleep apnea.

I can say without any reservations, I recommend and love my oral appliance. By the way, one other constructive outcome with my fitted oral appliance l have no more TMJ clicking while either eating or opening my mouth.

Time to indulge

Four months ago, Rose was faced with the limitation of her jaw, pain in the TMJ area, and on a couple of occasions her jaw would lock and not go back into place. Not only did this cause her constant pain but did not allow her to eat foods she enjoyed or do activities she enjoyed before being in pain. She went to her dentist regarding her symptoms, and he referred her to our office. She has thoroughly enjoyed working with our team and Dr. Brian. She exclaimed, “The team is so friendly, from the front desk to the clinical staff, and they are always smiling.” She was also very impressed with the innovative technology we used to treat her symptoms and diagnose her. During her treatment she took time to read Dr. Brian’s book and really enjoyed the information she learned and found it very helpful in her healing journey. Since starting her treatment, Rose has full range of movement in her jaw, no more locking, and ZERO pain! She is very excited to eat her favorite snack again, pecans!
